Open House Event

We invite you to join us for an Open House event on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014, from 6-8pm at the Arlington Central Library (1015 N. Quincy Street Arlington, VA 22201).

The Open House will be an opportunity for us at Virginia Tech to say ‘thank you’ to all those who participated in this cultural preservation project, who shared personal stories and memorabilia and helped make this history come alive. We will be presenting a summary of the project to Arlington County and the public of everything that will be inducted into the Arlington Center for Local History, which is housed within the Arlington Central Library. We will also be displaying some of what was collected, including pictures and highlights from the oral histories. Light refreshments will be served.

6:00- 6:15 pm – Mingle/ refreshments

6:15-6:45 pm – Presentation of Little Saigon, Clarendon research

6:45-7:15 pm – Word from our partners, including Arlington County, about where this information will go, what it means to the county and library, and how it will stay available in the future

7:15~8pm – Discussion / questions/ refreshments

 

Getting There:

The Arlington Central Library is located about 1/4 mile north-west of the Virginia Square Metro Station. For Metro directions, click here.

Street parking is available all around the library, and is free from 6pm on. The library also has its own garage parking.
